Explanation of the videos. OK, so here's what
happened... I was drilling through 2 2x8's
and a 4x4 post. I was watching the side the
drill went in to keep the bit straight. (The
bit was an 18 inch long by 1/2 inch wide
speed bit.) I was holding the board on the far
side with my left hand. The bit didn't emerge,
it just popped out the other side. My thumb
was in its path. This was the result...............

Finishing up.....

Yep, I know, I'm an idiot. I have the right, though,

to claim heredity (thanks Pa!) Like father, like

son. Our real issue, I think, is that we're too

foolish to wait for help. It's killing me to not go

out and build some more. Not as much as my thumb

is killing me, though. I have never been bright enough

to learn from the mistakes of others. Perhaps, maybe,

perchance, I will get the message through my skull

before the next drill bit does..... :)

The Tommell boys visit and Yaya and Pa too!

Kerrin and Piper smiles! We went to the Krohn's Conservatory which is full of plants from around the world.

Picnic time at Eden Park in Cincinnati. We started out for the zoo, but apparently it was bring everyone in the world for free day. Mobs of people were flooding the gates like they were handing out $100 bills. The parking lot was full, and I've never seen it more than 2/3 full. Anyway, we decided that crowds were not our style, so we headed for the park. The kids had a blast scrambling around on the remains of a 40 foot limestone block wall that was about 25 feet thick. They especially liked to climb up about 12 feet and then leap into Brandon's arms. I know, really safe, huh?

Picnic at the base of the wall. The KKK (Kyrek, Kerrin & Keigan) ate about 15 feet above us, and tossed down things like empty Pringles cans on us. Oh, and used napkins, soda cans, etc. You know, the usual.

Near the top of the wall

Typical. This is in the conservatory (on the butterfly bench, oddly enough donated by a pest control company.....) Livi is protesting something, and Piper is amused.

Kerrin could be found cuddling her cousins all week long.

All the cousins at the base of the broken wall

Not sure what this is... Laurel put it in.

She's learning to crawl. She can't really go anywhere yet, but she can get herself into the proper position.

Easter eggs!

It's Easter morning! Happy Kerrin (even with a horrid cough)
Livi little impish-candy-eating-grin!

Opening the eggs to see what's inside!

Even sick she's got a pretty smile, but those are not my normal bright Nadi-doodle eyes. She was a good sport on Easter even though she was a sick girl!

Mason carefully decorating his hard-boiled egg for Easter!

Nadia giving her orange egg a little green accent!

Livi was just having fun ploping them in the egg dye!

Sick kids decorating hard boiled eggs for Easter!

Even sick they had fun doing egg decoration! I will try again tomorrow to get a video to load, but right now it's late and it's not working!

Piper in the spotlight on Easter Weekend

Piper's first swing! The kids enjoyed a nice Easter weekend (except that everyone except Laurel was sick). OK, so we didn't really enjoy it... It was a cacophony of coughing all weekend. I hear them even as I type this!
Like I said! Laurel is just fine. That woman has the constitution of a stainless steel freight train!

OK, super mom at it again. Laurel has great patience. These three are going to be trouble.....

Some typical sites of our home!

Piper chillin' in the saucer seat!

Off we go! My Nadia and Livi in their silly hats!
Nadia and Livi in fabric "block" hats.

Ready for scriptures and stories in mommy and daddy's bed.

We like snuggling up for stories!

A typical site of the kids all entertaining Piper! All of them trying to be "the one" to make her giggle! She is giggling, but I don't know that you can hear her very well over the big kids!
